A small update~

I'm sorry I haven't been very active as of late, I've simply had nothing interesting to write about!
I've been so busy with college and stuff lately. Even now, I'm half preparing to leave for college while writing this post. I can't wait until I finish, which is right after I finish all of my outstanding assignments (It's not much, 5 short tasks but it's actually doing them that's the hard part!).

I'd really like to go on holiday this year, even if just inside England. I need to find a job before I think about doing that sort of stuff though. There is a cosplay holiday thing going on this year, but I won't have the money to go unless I get a job. Well, I have the money to go, just not the money to make 3 days worth of cosplay!

Speaking of cosplay, I plan to do a lot of it this summer. I'm not attending any of the summer conventions so I thought I'd host some meets and picnics this summer. I guess, to make this post a little more interesting, I'll post some of the cosplay I'm planning to do for this rest of this year.

2 weeks to go...

Well, technically there's 15 days but it's really not a long time until May MCM Expo! I'm so super excited!
My cosplay for this time is Remilia Scarlet from Touhou Project. I've only got one due to lack of money.
But still it's going really well!

This is the front of my skirt! The ruffles on the bottom were really annoying!

And the back, with a giant butt eating bow. The bow can be detached on one side to access the zip.

I'll be working on the shirt today. Hopefully to completion! Then I'll update with lovely pictures for you all. 

By the way, to those who said they wanted the Hello Kitty Flexi-Keyboard from my desk post, I noticed a few pop up on eBay the other day while I was browsing for a new mouse. Get in quick!

But be warned, it's kinda hard to type on. ^^;;

In other news, I got a new phone today. it's a pink flip phone. I wanted something simple for calling and texting, since my iPod Touch does everything else. Maybe soon I'll be able to merge the two together. iPhone plx ;w;

I also got a new bag, which is cute.

Next week is Waterstone's ReCon in Southampton! I'm not sure what to wear though. My cosplay is far from being finished. Maybe decora? Who knows!

All Rolled Into One

Ok, I thought I'd just post some of the fun things that have happened lately.

I got my wig for my Remilia cosplay in the post the other day! I ordered it from a seller on eBay called WigFever and I must say, their service is amazing. I was really quite scared about ordering from them, especially because I couldn't find any reviews on the internet about them, but their feedback seemed good and the wig was cheap so I gave it a go. It is well worth the £16 I paid for it. The colour is amazing (the strands are a mix between lavender and silver), it's incredibly soft and thick, it's perfect! Here's a picture of me in the uncut and unstyled wig:

I can't say I much like the colour on me, but it's a lovely wig.

I also went to stay at my very good friend Robbie's house for a few days! I had such a good time and his family (and him, himself) are very very sweet people. I just can't wait to visit again!

He's created a "soundcase", which is a suitcase containing 2 hifi speakers, a lot of wires and some other random computery bits. On the outside of the case is volume control, inputs for microphones, a switch to turn it on and off and 8 light bulbs. The lights flash in time with the music! How cool is that? Well, we took this soundcase to a canal close to him for a picnic, played some awesome music and did a random Caramelldansen. It was so much fun! We're planning to take this to the London MCM Expo in May as well! Yay! We also went to the arcade, took random photos, played Project Diva (which, for my first time I was surprisingly good at), sat in his garden (his neighbour had a sakura tree so we sat near it like the Japanese do for hanami - flower viewing - and it was lovely) and did other random stuffs :3

Um yea, that pretty much the only things of interest at the moment. I'm off now to get some rest.

Lucky Day!

I've finally been paid! A nice wad of cash was transferred into my account this morning, a lovely £269! What did I do first? Shop, of course! I bought myself a new Hello Kitty duvet cover,  a handful of new hair accessories, a new lampshade, some new make up and a pink watering can! I'm lucky to have a room that gets a considerable amount of sunlight so what better to do then brighten up my room with a flower growing on the windowsill? With the rest of the money, I'm going to buy fabric for my Remilia and Reimu cosplays and some to make a new JSK :D And if I have enough left over, an iPod Touch!! YAY!

Also, I found my favourite ring! It was given to me by Mikey for Christmas and I'd lost it about 2 months ago. But it's back on my finger where it belongs and it's never coming off again.

I certainly hope everyone else is having a lovely day and is looking forward to the weekend!

This Recipe Calls For A Dash Of Magic

After an exciting weekend like that, who wouldn't feel brilliant?

This weekend was simply amazing. I know I promised pictures but I didn't take any on Friday or Sunday because of all the excitement (and the fact I'd forgotten my camera both days D:). But I did take some on Saturday, which I will upload later.

Friday's Rocky Horror Show Performance

The Rocky Horror Picture Show was an amazing experience. I had so much fun getting up and doing the Time Warp, clapping and singing along to the songs and just being there with my great friends from Southampton Anime Society. They are a great lot and I hope to have many more fun times with them.

I even kept my ticket to stick in a scrapbook :3

Saturday's Baking Day

Ok, so we didn't make as much stuff as we planned. But we made cupcakes! And I made butter icing to decorate them with. I want to make some more this week :3 I love decorating cupcakes >w<

Sunday's Day Out with Dave

Avatar in 3D isn't just a movie. It's an experience. It was THAT good. The 3 hour movie didn't feel that long and seeing it in 3D is just... breath-taking. It made me think about what we are doing to the environment, it nearly made me cry and it made me sit on the edge of my seat with my mouth open like an idiot. But yea. If you haven't seen that movie yet, I command you to RIGHT NOW!

Well, after the movie we went to get something to eat. We went to a small Chinese restaurant in town called Ocean Dragon. It is a really nice place to eat, and has a lovely atmosphere. And the good thing is, it's cheap, which is particularly important in this day and age. But yea, it ended up being just over £30 for an all-you-can-eat buffet and drinks for two. Not bad, if I do say so myself. It was very filling and very lovely.

After that, we ended up at Mark's for the rest of the evening. It started with a chat and a bit of Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift but that got turned off as no one was paying attention and we put on Youtube. I showed them some cute videos (Sweets Parade from Alice Parade, Dote Up A Cat's opening and True My Heart from Nursery Rhyme) then we watched Vicci and Zoe do the dance from Minna no Tamago (them and two other girls are cosplaying the girls from Shugo Chara! EGG!) and showed off future cosplays.

All in all, a very lovely day that I really really enjoyed. Dave is just a very sweet person *blush*

Kidnapped!

I got kidnapped by Mark, Zoe and Dan on Saturday and got taken all the way to London for ALCL! It was a very unexpected and wonderful surprise. I had so much fun. The people there were so lovely and I became good friends with a particularly lovely guy called Dave. When we were all fed up with the atmosphere at ALCL, we hopped on the Tube for a visit to Trocadero where Dave and I danced the day away on various dance machines. We also took a visit to TokyoToys, Japan Centre Bookstore and Food Store and a Chinese resturaunt for dinner. All in all, a really awesome day.

Tonight, I'm going over to Miku-chan's to finally register for MinamiCon with him. We're just going to hang out and chill tonight. Ah, relaxation!

I'm off college sick today. I went to bed last night with a weezy chest and managed to fall straight asleep. But then woke up about 10 minutes later, gasping for air because I had stopped breathing. I went to go and see if my mom was awake, but she wasn't so I told my stepdad, Rob, and he gave me his inhaler to use. It helped ^^ (thanks Rob <3)
My mom bought me a muffin ^^ Yum Yum.
She also told me we are going to Build-A-Bear this afternoon so we can all get a bear to celebrate us moving and all the hard work we've put into this house (we have converted the whole loft!) ^^
Right, so, seperate blogs. I've decided this blog is getting over crowded with all my stuff about my life, and my cosplay, and my figures. So I've made this blog my life blog, and two others into my cosplay and figure blogs.

Cosplay updates:
Bexi's Ball Gown - Almost finished!! We bought a new sewing machine today that makes it so much easier to work with slippery fabric. Will come in handy when using silks to make kimono.
Music Notes Lolita Dress - Fabric bought, pattern bought. The accessories are finished, didn't take long XD


EXPO:
I'm really excited about Expo, though not very excited about having to get up at 5am >< We are travelling with the SAS on the 6:55am train. Very interesting...
I'll be coming home with lots of anime merch. and will be all sweaty from the dance machines. (Note to self: Must get £10 in £1 coins and bring deo!)


NIK:
I'm spending a long weekend at Nik's on the 9th. Ah, relaxation... Well, as relaxing as watching anime and walking dogs gets. At least I'll be getting excerise. (I need to get down to a size 14 by next October. Tips?) And I get to chat with his lovely mom again, she is such a dear. I do miss Nik very much though, I can't wait to be snuggled in his arms again *lovestrucksighplz*


MIKEY:
zOMG! I'm seeing my Oniichan next weekend!!! I miss him so much ;w; ♥ ♥ ♥ It'll be like old timesssss!!11one Singing on HSM Sing It! and playing on my new dance mats. ♥ I LOVES YOU MY ONIICHAN!!!! ♥


MIKU:
The newest friend in my life, Mark, who I call Miku because of his great love for the pop princess Hatsune Miku-chan. We both share that love actually XD We are Miku and Mikuo Hatsune ^^ Hopefully, next October we will be going to Expo as Miku and Mikuo Hatsune.
