Gets + My Summer Playlist

Sunday, 1 August 2010 |

Hello! I'm back from my holiday. I forgot to post my hiatus post before I left and my grandmother doesn't have internet in her house! Lame! Actually, it was quite nice to unplug for a while and relax in the beautiful county of Surrey~
But, I did go shopping while I was away. I had some extra cash so I bought lots of lovely goodies!

I love this top! It's so comfy and looks great with shorts or leggings.
I do tend to leave a trail of glitter behind though.

This maxi dress is soooo lovely and long. I plan to wear it underneath a yellow t-shirt with red edging.

These shorts are amazing. I was so thrilled to find a pair in my size! Plus, the rip on the side looks like a kitty cat to me.
These are also quite awesome. So simple but nice and cool as they are linen.

I also bought a pink and white baggy striped top, a yellow crop top with black sailboats and airplanes on it and the top mentioned in this post. I love shopping.

I love music. I love it more than I love fashion. Which is why I'm going to post here my top 5 Songs of the Summer! I strongly suggest you check out each of these amazing artists!

Top 5 Songs of the Summer:

So there you go, some awesome new music for you to listen to or maybe some repeated favourites! I love to sing my heart out when I'm on the road with Dave. It's so much fun! We like to belt out Fireflies by Owl City like mad people. Love it!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer! My summer so far has been a small holiday and BIG decisions. But I'm happy with the choices I have finally made.

New Comment Form + Outfit Post

Sunday, 18 July 2010 |

I noticed lately a lot of bloggers are switching over to the DISQUS comment form. I too have jumped on the bandwagon so that I can reply to all of your lovely comments.
This also means that previous comments have been deleted =< *epicsadface*
They didn't import properly.
So if you left a comment with a question or something you wanted me to reply to, please go back and post it and I will reply very soon!

Today, I am going on a picnic with my family. This is part of our whole new "get active" thingy. (As if blogging isn't exercise enough! Haha!) I thought I'd get a little dressed up for lazing on the grass on a blanket so I did and this is what I came up with!

I love that nail polish, don't you just LOOOOVE that nail polish?
Rundown:

Popteen: August Issue + Thrifting

Thursday, 8 July 2010 |

In Popteen's August issue, they feature an interview with the beautiful singer Kana Nishino, the voice behind the amazing song Best Friend. This outfit of hers is absolutely amazing! It has a mori-gal feel to it. It just so happened I found a lacy top like that in Primark today, in the form of a cardigan with an invisible zip. I only wish I'd taken a photo of it! It was so cute!
I also recommend Primark mode-gal finds! There is TONS of cheap (price-wise of course, not cheap-looking!) gal-worthy items in there. As soon as I get my paycheck, I'm going in to stock my wardrobe for the summer!

The art of thrifting - going into a charity store (thrift store) and buying something nice to make into something fabulous! Currently, this is one of my favourite things to do. I love going around all the charity stores with my mom. I've picked up loads of cute stuff from them. I recently bought a pink and white candy striped tank top and a yellow and white summer dress. Both are amazing and in such good condition! Plus, I feel super good afterwards, I've shopped lots and given money to charity. I urge you! Get out there and thrift your heart out!

Sorry for my lack of updates by the way. Again, nothing interesting to say! Plus, I was without internet for almost a week. It was so boring ><;

Decoden: The Strangely Relaxing Hobby

Saturday, 26 June 2010 |

Today was my last day at college. I was kind of sad to leave, since it's been a big part of my life for a while and I met so many great people there. I actually cried a little while walking though the halls for the last time.
But that's not what this post is about!

I've always been fascinated by the world of deco. All the pretty and sparkly phones and handheld games consoles... *u* <3
So today, I grabbed my very boring phone, some glue, tweezers and some glittery bits and just deco'd my afternoon away. It was so relaxing, just sat there with my music on sticking on rhinestone after rhinestone.
After around 4 hours I got to a state of completion. This is the result:

 A very shiny phone.

I had some leftover rhinestones too, as well as a small fairy that I wanted to use on something. So I ended up spending another 2 hours making this:

Crap photo is crap but you get the basic idea.

Over the top of my pink DS Lite, the green didn't look very nice. So, I gave this case to my mom, who loves fairies and shiny things. She was very happy with the surprise! And it looks lovely on her white DS Lite.
I love decoden so much >w< It's so fun and relaxing. It's great to do on a hot day when you just don't want to do anything. My next project is a new case for my iPod. I want to try and make a picture of my current favourite Touhou character, Cirno, out of rhinestones of different sizes. Time to look for places that sell rhinestones online!

Question for readers! Do you like deco? Do you think it looks nice or just looks tacky? Comment!

Over and out!

Earphones!

Monday, 14 June 2010 |

Due to my recent discovery of being minorly allergic to plastic, I've been forced to indulge in some new earphones. I decided to have a look in Asda, since I was there food shopping anyway. I quickly found my perfect earphones. Comfortable, silicone JVC Gumys. They were on offer for 2 for £10, so I picked up a pair of funky green ones and a pair of white ones, with a special plan in mind for the white ones.

After looking though what bits I had left in my deco boxes, this is what was made out of those white earphones:

Those ponies are from some hairclips I bought that broke.
Recycling!

A close up of one of the earphones.

Cute, huh? I was going to deco them, with really really small rhinestones but I didn't have enough pink ones left! Time to order some more ^^;

That was basically all I wanted to update on this time. I did have an outfit post and a JapFashion post for you, but my mom formatted my camera and I can't find the graphics for the JapFashion post. Sooooo, you'll just have to wait.

I do have this, however, which I really really want!

I saw this walking past Peacocks the other day! I love it!!!
I think I remember seeing something like this in Popteen as well.
Or some other JapFashion Mag.

Anyway, that's all for today!

Over and out! ;D
